Oly is an adorable cat born on 7 May 2024, known for his gentle temperament despite the little struggles life has thrown at him since he was very young. He is an endearing companion who has a number of health concerns requiring special attention.

Firstly, Oly has chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) - the feline equivalent of Crohn's disease in humans. This digestive pathology requires a specific diet - Hill's Z/D - (the 1.5kg bag costs around €25), adapted to his sensitivity, as well as a cortisone-based treatment - 5mg 3/4c 1x/D - to control the inflammation and limit crisis episodes. Unfortunately, this also reduces her immunity. A box of 100 tablets costs around €25.
Alongside this digestive disorder, Oly also suffers from chronic upper respiratory tract problems. He has suffered from bouts of coryza since he was very young, and had to undergo endoscopy to try and explore and relieve his nasal cavities. Unfortunately, due to the narrowness of his nasal cavities, it is not currently possible to perform more extensive surgery. These anatomical features make him prone to recurrent infections and weakened immunity. During his bouts of coryza, the accumulation of purulent, sticky secretions, a hole has sometimes formed in the middle of his eyes.
Aerosols and antibiotics are necessary during his episodes of crisis.

Oly is a small patient who is closely monitored, receiving appropriate care and constant vigilance from us and the veterinary team. The aim of his care is to ensure the best possible quality of life for him, by adapting to his particular needs and taking care to anticipate complications linked to his general condition.
